2009: 2 part series on Endocrine disorders with Jeffrey C. Yuen:

The endocrine system and the hormones it releases influences almost every cell, organ and function of our bodies. It is instrumental in regulating mood, growth, development, function and metabolism. The Endocrine system also plays an integral part in sexual function and the reproductive processes. The study of endocrinology began in China. The Chinese were isolating sex and pituitary hormones from human urine and using them for medical purposes by 200 CE. They used many complex methods, preceding the Western study of endocrinology by over 1500 years. Classical CHinese Medicine Acupuncture differentiates wei qi, ying qi and yuan qi for addressing health imbalances. In order to effectively treat endocrine disorders it is important to understand the interplay between these different expressions of qi and their impact on the endocrine system. The Endocrine system is a highly sophisticated system constantly exchanging information. Glands release hormones directly in the bloodstream, where they are transported to organs and tissues throughout the body. This course overviewed pituitary, pineal, thyroid, parathyroids, hypothalamus, adrenal and reproductive glands and their interplay. Endocrine disorders such as diabetes, hypo-and hyperthyroidism as well as adrenal exhaustion were also covered.

2008: One-Year Training in Chinese Medical Aromatherapy with Jeffrey C. Yuen:

For thousand of years, the therapeutic use of essential oils of aromatic plants has been utilized for the maintenance and restoration of health. Essential oils were applied to create healing on the multi-layered body/mind/spirit continuum. This program discusses the energetic qualities of essential oils and properties such as volatility and viscosity, along with a framework from Chinese medical perspectives, including associations between odor qualities, taste, and five elements. Based on a recognition of the characteristics of the parent plant, correlations will be given between the differents oils and their energetic levels and effects on specific organs and metabolic systems. Chinese medical and therapeutic strategies, such as strengthening the upright qi, eliminating toxins, or removing blockages will be presented along with guidelines for selecting the appropriate essential oils to formulate synergies for the treatment of individuals with different clinical problems, including degenerative conditions, psychological issues, lifestyle stressors, and infections. Classical concepts of character-typing will also be explored and how to mediate these temperaments.

Stones and gems have historically been a major component of Chinese Medicine with Their properties being described and outlined in the major materia medicas (ben cao). In these texts, stones are considered living evolving entities. Their density and solidity represent greater permanence in healing and the stabilization of energetic intentions and therapies. They can also serve as chelating agent to draw out toxins from the body-mind-spirit continuum. In addition, the application of stones on acupoints or as jewelry can promote certain healing vibrations and draw positive influences or repel negative factors. This program examines the healing properties, structure, color, and application of stones and gems. Topics covered will include elixirs, cleansing & recharging stones, acupoint applications, heated or moxa stones, home/office displacement, ancient & "new" stones, crystal designs, and light interaction.

This 4-year healing school is based on Barbara Brennan's own original healing techniques and understanding of the dimensions of mankind. Barbara Brennan is a world renowned healer and author. The philosophy of the school is that mankind exists on 4 dimensions. The first dimension is the physical, which most people are familiar with. The second dimension is the auric field, the energy field that comprises our personality. The third dimension is a level of intention called the haric dimension; this is the level that holds our intention to incarnate as well as our soul longings. And finally the fourth dimension of core essence holds both our individual essence as well as our unity consciousness with God. Dis-ease or inability to manifest our longings results when in any of these dimensions or out of balance. Barbara has developed specific hands-on healing techniques to address each of these dimensions of human kind. These healing techniques as well as spiritual and psychological processes called "Brennan Healing Science" are taught to the students during the 4-year program.
